Nominee Eligibility Requirements

​

The Nominee must be a:

​

  •  Current NSAMA member for at least one (1) year in good standing.

  •  GME or UME (or any combination thereof) Administrator for at least two (2) consecutive years.

​

 Note: Members of the NSAMA Board of Directors are not eligible for a period of one (1) year following the completion or end of their term.

 

Nominator Requirements

​

Nominator includes, but is not limited to a:

​

  • Peer (NSAMA or non-NSAMA members)

  • DIO or Dean

  • GME Program Director

  • UME Clerkship Director

  • Resident, Fellow or Medical Student.

​​

 Note: Self-nominations are not accepted.

 

Criteria for Selection

​

During the 2019 calendar year, the nominee made significant contributions in one or more of the following areas:

​

  • Has implemented a significant improvement in their program.

  • Engages, supports and is a valuable resource to internal and external partners in their field of medical education.

  • Educates and supports other medical education administrators within and outside of their field.

  • Demonstrates a breadth of knowledge in their field of medical education.

  • Exhibits a commitment to medical education administration.

Complete the below nomination form and submit any additional supporting documents (e.g. letters of support, CV) as one PDF file to info@nsama.org with the subject line: DMEA Award Nomination. 

 

Nominations must be submitted by Monday, March 16th. Nominations received after the deadline will not be considered.

Nomination Form

The Massachusetts Society of Academic Medical Administrators (MSAMA) seeks to educate and support administrators in the field of medical education regarding curricular advancements, innovations in teaching methods, basic industry knowledge, regulatory compliance, and best practices.

 

MSAMA aims to provide medical education administrators with a resource for gaining new knowledge and updates in their respective fields. MSAMA Membership is open to any administrator in the medical education profession inclusive of Graduate Medical Education (GME), Fellowships, Residencies, and Clerkships.

 

The Distinguished Medical Education Administrator Award (DMEA) acknowledges the extraordinary contributions made by a member of the MSAMA towards fulfilling the goals and mission of the organization. Nominees must meet the eligibility requirements outlined below and be nominated using the nomination form below.
